ROCK THE FOUNDATION 2018

Live music fans have the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic night out – and support our work – thanks to Rock the Foundation, a concert in Newcastle on 16 February organised by Laura and Bob Douglass.

The pair first came up with the idea in 2016 and that event was a sell-out. Their goal is not only help raise further awareness of cancer, but was also to find a way of remembering and paying respect to loved ones from their own immediate family that have sadly lost their battles with this heart-breaking disease.

And they kindly chose to support our Foundation because of their admiration and respect for Sir Bobby, who himself faced cancer during a 17-year period of his life.

Bob says: “Our first event went on to raise a profit in excess of £860 for the charity and it is our aim to more than surpass this figure at the 2018 event.

“So it’s with great pride and excitement that we’re announcing Rock The Foundation is returning to the Cluny 2 in Newcastle in February. We have a great line-up and we’re grateful to all the bands for volunteering their time.”
