We were extremely sorry to hear that former Durham County Council Leader and Durham Cricket Club pioneer, Don Robson, died yesterday.
Don kindly agreed to help Sir Bobby launch this charity in 2008 and he chaired the original Sir Bobby Robson Foundation committee.
His skills, positivity and contacts were essential in our early days and he helped Sir Bobby get this charity ‘off the ground.’

“He was chairman of our original Foundation committee and his skills and contacts made such a difference in our early days. We will always be grateful to him.”
We will miss Don. A very sad time for his family and friends.
