A DECADE OF FABULOUS FUNDRAISING

A huge thank you to Martyn Haughan and his wonderful family and friends, who have been fundraising for us for the last 10 years.

The enthusiastic group began supporting us by walking from their home town of Penrith to the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.

The walk was their way of saying thank you for the treatment their friend, John Raynes, was receiving for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Over the years, they have continued to fundraise with sponsored walks and evening events. In 2018, they went even further and cycled the 320 miles from Penrith Clock Tower to London’s ‘Big Ben’, what they called the Clock to Clock Challenge.

In total, the group has raised more than £100,000 for fantastic charities including our Foundation.

Most recently, they walked from the Freeman Hospital to Penrith via the hospitals en route and raised an amazing £26,000 for us and MND Association.

Our sincere thanks to Martyn, his family and friends for their dedication and generosity. We are very grateful.
