This April, we would love you to help fundraise for our Foundation by taking part in Sir Bobby’s Football Run!

Top-flight footballers run around 10km during a match, so why not challenge yourself and do the same by completing Sir Bobby’s Football Run and running 10km, whenever and wherever suits you best during April.

We’re encouraging runners to wear their favourite football club shirts, or a Sir Bobby Robson Foundation running vest, and to share their pics and training tips on social media using the hashtag #SirBobbysFootballRun

This is the second Sir Bobby’s Football Run, last year we had runners from across the UK and beyond getting active, supporting our work and proudly wearing their football club colours.

And, if a full match is a bit too much, maybe try running for ‘half a game’ and do 5km. Or run as part of a team effort – we’ve had Football Runners aged from five to 93!

Sir Bobby’s Football Run is free to enter and we’re asking participants to try and raise £50 in sponsorship. After completing the run, we will send you a certificate and pin badge to say thank you.

The money raised through Sir Bobby’s Football Run will help us continue the work Sir Bobby began when he launched our Foundation, finding more effective ways to detect and treat cancer.

For more information, or to sign up, please visit – Sir Bobby’s Football Run.

Or contact us at the Charity Office by calling 0191 213 7235 or emailing Emailnuth.charity@nhs.net.

We hope you choose to ‘run a match this April and join what Sir Bobby called his, “last and greatest team.” Thank you!
