NORTH EAST FOOTBALL WRITERS’ AWARDS NIGHT
Our thanks to everyone who supported us at last night’s North East Football Writers’ Association Awards at Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham.

Congratulations to all the wonderful winners, including Gary Bennett who was named Personality of the Year, an award given in association with our Foundation.
Colin Young, Secretary of the North East Football Writers’ Association, says: “As always, we had a fantastic night celebrating the best of North East football and we’re so proud to raise funds for The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
“Sir Bobby absolutely personifies the positivity and power of this region when it pulls in the same direction. The money raised will help find better ways to treat cancer and that’s something we can all relate to.”
The North East Football Writers’ Association Awards, sponsored by William Hill, are voted for by football writers across the region and reflect achievements in the 2022/2023 season.
Recipients included Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United) Men’s Player of the Year, Sarah Robson (Durham Women FC) Women’s Player of the Year, Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough FC) Young Men’s Player of the Year and Katy Watson (Sunderland AFC) Young Women’s Player of the Year.
