SURREY FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION SUPPORT

Two of Sir Bobby’s former clubs, Fulham FC and Newcastle United, meet today, so this is an ideal time to acknowledge the fantastic ongoing support we receive from The Surrey Football Coaches Association.

Chris Powell and SFCA volunteers

In 1965, when he was a Fulham and England player, Sir Bobby was a founding member of the organisation and he went on to become a President. The original constitution had as its aim: to foster and develop all aspects of the coaching of Association Football in Surrey and the surrounding areas. Something that continues to this day!

At a recent event at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, led by former Charlton and England player and coach Chris Powell, a raffle was held with memorabilia kindly donated by Chris.

Surrey Football Coaches Association Committee member, Paul Mady, subsequently presented a cheque for the money raised to Sir Bobby’s son, Mark.

We are proud to be the nominated charity for the association and we are grateful to Chris Powell and everyone involved for such loyal support.
