KINGSTON PARK CAFC PLEDGES SUPPORT WITH NEW STRIP

Kingston Park Community Association Football Club in Newcastle has unveiled its latest team strip and we’re that it carries our logo.

Steve Harper with Oliver Langdown, Caleb Ripley-Brydon and Max Craig.

Our Patron, Steve Harper, recently met some of the club’s members to say thank you for their support – and for the fundraising they have been doing.

Kevin Richardson, Club Secretary at Kingston Park CAFC, says: “We’ve committed to long-term sponsorship of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation both on and off the field.

“The charity is close to the hearts and minds of those involved with the Club as one our young players has sadly been diagnosed with leukaemia. We want to raise as much money as we can to help fight cancer and the families affected by it.”

Kingston Park CAFC will carry the Foundation’s logo on their new home strip for the next three seasons. It will be worn by all 14 of their teams playing in the Pin Point Recruitment Junior League, the North East Youth Development League and the Tynedale League.

Pauline Buglass, from the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, said: “We’re very grateful to everyone at Kingston Park CAFC for their support. Sir Bobby was always touched to receive help for his Foundation from within football and would have loved to see these young players with our charity logo on their shirts.

“We wish the club all the very best this season and hope the players enjoy playing in their new strips.”

Off the field, Kingston Park CAFC is planning to run a number of fundraising events throughout the season, with all proceeds going to our Foundation.

Kevin adds: “We get many sponsorship offers from corporate organisations for the teams but we wanted a sponsor that those involved in the club could resonate with, and also be proud to carry the sponsor’s logo and promote it while playing.

“It reminds me a lot of what FC Barcelona did when they carried the UNICEF logo for many years, refusing corporate sponsorship. The awareness, and monies raised for the charity, were phenomenal. We want to help raise funds for Sir Bobby’s legacy, to help us beat this disease, and hopefully our contribution will make a difference.”
