A County Durham based full-service creative agency has raised £15,000 for three charities as part of their 10th birthday celebrations – and has kindly donated £4,000 to us.

ladyelsie-everyoneThe Works, which has offices in Chester-le-Street and Alnwick, is celebrating 10 years of business and raised funds through a variety of activities over the course of this year, including a special birthday ball in June.

Lady Elsie was very pleased to visit The Works this week to thank the team for their efforts and came away with a personalised Christmas tree bauble.

The agency started celebrating their anniversary in January by enjoying their own version of a children’s 10th birthday party- complete with party games and retro party food. Fundraising activities have also included selling homemade cakes and food, raffling off prizes and even a dare for one of the directors, a huge Sunderland fan, to wear a Newcastle United football shirt.

ladyelsie-directorsAs well as raising funds for us, The Works also raised money for two other charities – The Rainbow Trust and Under the Bridge.

The Works started out in 2006 and since then has grown to an expanding team of over 19 who work with a variety of clients across the UK and provide a range of branding, marketing, advertising and digital services.

Last year, the company added web development and digital services to their portfolio by merging with Alnwick based web agency, Chocolate Grape, to form The Works Digital.
