BEDALE AFC V CELEBRITIES CHARITY MATCH

A wonderful charity match in the sunshine at Bedale AFC yesterday!

Young Alfie and Bailey have both been supported by work we’ve funded at the Great North Children’s Hospital and were very proud to officially kick the game off.

A large crowd watched a very entertaining match, which raised money for our Foundation, The Christie and Prostate Cancer UK.

Former professional footballers included Middlesbrough manager, Chris Wilder, Danny Mills, Simon Grayson, Glynn Snodin, Grant Leadbitter, Andy Hughes, Matt Kilgallon, Martin Woods and Jermaine Beckford.

Also playing on the celebrity team were former cricketer, Ryan Sidebottom,

Bryn Law (sports broadcaster), Kasabian’s Chris Edwards, Josh Warrington (two-time world featherweight champion, as manager) and Coronation Street’s Colson Smith, who officially kicked off the second half.

Our thanks to Martyn Coombes, Emily King and all involved in what was a fantastic community event.
